TheMaintenance Manager drives the efficiency and effectiveness of ourproduction equipment and maintenance teams with continuous improvement,the latest technology, and strong workforce recruitment and retention.This key position will work with the supervisor and group leaders tomanage the day-to-day operation of our maintenance team, while alsosupporting the development and implementation of our overall Operationsstrategic plans tied to safety, production, quality, continuousimprovement, and cost. The Maintenance Manager has strong leadershipskills, an advanced understanding of lean manufacturing as a tool toimprove performance, and the ability to develop others. PositionRequirements Bachelor\'s degree in a related field or equivalentcombination of education and experience. 5+ years\' demonstrated successmanaging maintenance activities or comparable activities and drivingimprovement. Demonstrated success utilizing lean tools to achieveefficiency and productivity goals. Strong understanding of planning andexecution tools, including experience with capital improvements. Abilityto develop existing and future leadership bench using company talentmanagement tools and programs. Strong interpersonal skills, seasonedjudgment, and a \"hands-on\" leadership style. Ability to motivateindividuals and teams to perform at high levels to meet or exceed goals.Strong PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite. Ability toread and interpret documents such as drawings, specifications, operatingmanuals, and compliance materials. Positive can-do attitude. PhysicalRequirements Ability to work in high noise areas and wear appropriatehearing protection devices. Ability to mount/dismount forklift utilizingthree points of contact (two hands and one foot). Ability to operate amotor vehicle while maintaining focus on safe driving and avoiding alldistractions when behind the wheel, especially cell phones. Manualmaterial handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch.Ability to work in an elevated ambient temperature environment. Abilityto utilize stepladders, extension, and fixed ladders. Ability to walk,stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feelobjects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb orbalance; and occasionally lift/push/pull/carry up to 25 pounds.
