Overview
As our Maintenance & Electrical Engineering Technician you will be a key contributor to ensure our operational electrical machinery and equipment is in tip-top working order and as a result we can maintain the level of quality required in our OLED multi-stack technology. With everything we have going on at OLEDWorks, we need someone dedicated to this role and specifically focused on getting to know all the particulars of our equipment...essentially being our electrical engineering repair and maintenance master! We have a microdisplay factory upgrade on the horizon that we are working on as well, and will look to you to help manage it to include utilities, new equipment installs, validation trials, and maintenance. If this role feels good to you, we are eager to hear from you!
What You'll Do Every Day
Each day, you will provide solutions and support to ensure our electrical and mechanical equipment is functional and operational in our Production and R&D environments. You will monitor systems, troubleshoot, and test and implement repairs where needed. You will perform scheduled maintenance and at times you may provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of equipment. You will need to be able to read and interpret equipment manuals to perform necessary repairs and aid in diagnosing problems and appropriate solutions.
As our business grows, new equipment or upgrades to workflows may be added and you will help with design and installation. You will take special care of the vacuum systems and stay current on understanding these environments. You may coordinate work to be done with outside contractors who bring a certain expertise to the team.
You will collaborate with different departments to understand the varying needs of the business and may contribute to special projects. Assessment and communication are key to coordinating with different areas of the business when changes need to be made or repairs may impact business schedules. You will always comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.
Skills You Must Bring
You bring an Associate's level education and aptitude in electrical and/or mechanical engineering and hands-on working experience in a fabrication environment. Having experience with vacuum environments is huge! You know your way around various tools and equipment and their functionality to help design, install, and execute repairs or improvements. You are comfortable working independently as well as coordinating with others and your ability to problem solve is a must. You can adapt within a changing and growing company environment and seek out solutions with a positive outlook. You have demonstrated the delivery of great internal customer service in previous employment and understand the importance of the same at OLEDWorks.
