Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator Reports to: Shop Manager
Category: Medium Work Date Prepared: 1/17/2024
Job Objectives: This job requires the organization and prioritization of all equipment, repair, service and shop personnel.
Essential Job Functions:
To supervise the day-to-day functions of the Shop Facility.
To receive all requests for service/repair on equipment, dispatch appropriate personnel, and fill out equipment repair reports.
To maintain CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Software).
To schedule repairs/ service.
To receive calls for immediate attention from the field.
To deal with outside salespeople.
To ensure that all shop personnel are in compliance with company safety policy.
To ensure that all shop personnel are in compliance with company environmental policy and environmental law.
To perform weekly “tail-gate” safety meetings.
To review/approve weekly time sheets for shop personnel/mechanics.
To report all needs and concerns of the shop to the Shop Manager.
To review the weekly service schedule for trucks and mobile equipment.
To maintain all computer records and coordinate computer responsibilities with Parts Manager, Mechanics, and other Service Personnel.

Standing: Continuous. Requires the ability to stand on hard, flat surfaces for long hours while working with hands. May be required to work at construction sites and mountainous terrain.
Walking: continuous. Requires the ability to walk on hard, flat surfaces for long hours. May be required to work at construction sites and mountainous terrain in slippery conditions.
Lifting/Carrying: Frequently. This position is classified as "Medium Work". This requires the ability to "exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly" to move objects. Workers will primarily be using their hands to lift from ground to above shoulder level. Objects will vary in size and weight, usually weighing less than 25 pounds, utilizing one or two arms carries less than 10'. Items weighing more than 75 pounds are lifted with assistance devices.
Climbing: Frequent. Requires the ability to climb in and out of heavy equipment up to 5 steps, 3" width, and 25" apart. Requires the ability to climb on and in heavy equipment in awkward positions.
Squatting: Requires ability to squat for up to 30 seconds in awkward positions while holding tools with hands.
Supine position: Requires the ability to lie in supine position and work with hands overhead for up to 1 minute.

Clothing provided by employee: steel toe boots and leather gloves.
Safety equipment provided by employer: safety vest, hardhat, hearing protection, safety glasses, cutting shields, and respirators.
