Title: Maintenance

Job Summary: The Building Maintenance worker is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the nursing home facility. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing repair needs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations that apply to long-term care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs.Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.Ensure the facility is clean and well-maintained, including common areas, resident rooms, and outdoor spaces.Maintain and repair equipment and systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.Monitor and maintain the buildings security systems, including fire alarms and emergency exits.Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.Assist with setting up and breaking down for events and activities within the facility.Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in building maintenance or a related field.Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good written and verbal communication skills.Physical ability to perform job-related tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
