About Maintenance Associate II

  Reference #: 12882-en_USBASIC FUNCTION:

  Responsible for management, governance and integrity of MRO material master data. This individual will manage and maintain master data in the SAP system environment, ensuring shipping, receiving, storage and distribution business transactions are performed in an efficient manner due to accurate and reliable material master data.

  ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)

  Oversees and manages master data in SAP system environmentProcesses daily material master data new parts numbers, both stock and non-stock records.Extends, edits and updates existing warehouse/plant material part numbers, descriptions and attributesManages ongoing material master data enrichment processProvides recommendations for process improvementsPerforms audits to ensure that SAP master data and other source system records are in syncSupports programs, policies, and procedures within Materials Management department and Reliability departmentAudits data for completeness and accuracy and corrects any data issues to ensure high quality dataProvides data quality status and trend reporting to managementPrioritizes urgent material master data creation requests, edits and extensionsProvides support to warehouse and plant material master usersCreates, organizes and maintains department's supporting files, policies and process documentationGenerates records information for and participates in planning activitiesAssist in maintaining the storeroom, ensuring efficient storage, tracking, and distribution of maintenance-related materials and partsOccasionally receive, inspect, and store incoming maintenance materials and spare parts

  Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  A minimum of two or more years of on-the-job work order/accounting experience.

  PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  Resident experience SAP or similar applications.Previous experience in maintenance office setting.

  REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

  A minimum of a High School Degree or equivalent is required.

  PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

  Associates Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.

  REQUIRED SKILLS:

  Strong word processing, database and spreadsheet applications skills.Work order software utilization expertise.Ability to provide training and support for operations maintenance employees locally and at remote facilities.Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, intermediate reading and writing skills, and ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication.

  WORK CONDITIONS:

  Office based, with up to 20% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and routing equipment. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions.

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling. Job conditions may require working in confined spaces.
