  Must be able to work a rotating shift. This Opening will be on nights from 6:48 p.m to 6:48 a.m.

  (The schedule is 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off....)

  JOB SUMMARY:

  Frequently works independently under minimal supervision to perform extremely complex tasks including the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment and building.

  Maintenance ‘A’ Mechanics may not move for two (2) years unless movement is a promotion within the department.

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  Must be able to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal instructions, and should be able to comprehend simple to very detailed schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and the ability to setup and operate more complex equipment.

  Must be able to troubleshoot problems and make repairs in the areas of his specialties either from experience or with the aid of manuals, wiring diagrams, etc.

  Perform basic shop math, including fractions and/or decimals.

  Qualifying proficiency in one or more specialized fields with a strong mechanical background and a working knowledge of the others. Employee may be required to perform operations in any of these fields depending on the work requirements at that time.

  Must often use independent judgment to diagnose equipment problems and analyze best method for desired results.

  Must have a high degree of manual dexterity and be mechanically inclined.

  Maintain equipment in plant

  Must be able to maintain expected quality levels.

  Using Computers (entering information, etc)

  Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.

  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Selects proper tools and parts with the aid of blueprints, schematics, or diagrams - - when available.

  Uses a variety of testing devices such as leak detectors and electrical instruments.

  Maintains department in clean and orderly manner and cleans around area where equipment was repaired in a production department.

  Assist in training new employees and trainees, as assigned.

  Performs other duties as required.

  Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment.

  Works Overtime when needed.

  ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITES:

  Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.

  Requires waring safety glasses ,flame retardant clothing, earplugs, Metal tarsal shoes, Hard Hats, Respirator, Caustic Suit and other department specified PPE.

  Report all job-related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).

  Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.

  Attend all EHS training.

  Employee is required to execute the following:

  Depending upon the task, performs work requiring from minimal physical effort to heavy laboring operations.

  Work requires some constant walking, standing, heavy lifting, carrying and handling

  Must pass Jaeger 2 eye exam.

  Lifting and carrying to the waist-to-chest high level, floor to waist and chest to overhead.

  Gripping and Pinching.

  Climb stairs and ladders.

  Fine manipulation, use a keyboard and mouse.

  Be able to crawl, squat, balance and sustain bending.

  Be able to finger Press.

  Be able to push, pull and twist.

  Moderate lifting <25,>50 lbs.

  Be able to carry items with two hands.

  Be able to carry with one hand.

  Reach for items nearby, far and overhead

  Non-Medical Surveillance Related EHS Training:Fall Control

  Confined Space Entry

  Machine Guarding

  Flammable/Combustible Liquids & Compressed Gases

  Hazardous energy sources (LTV)

  Electrical

  Equipment Used:Robots

  Aerial Lift

  Walk Behind Fork Truck

  Fork Truck

  Pallet Jack

  Maintenance equipment, tools, and testing devices.

  Training:Additional trade training in the mechanical field is beneficial.Work Environment: (Chemical and Physical Exposures)Exposure to Nickel, Heat, KOH and RCF.

  May be exposed to noise, oil, dust, fumes, chemicals, heat, cold, or wetness.

  Some exposure to changes in seasonal temperatures.

  MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  Audiogram

  Vision

  Heat Stress

  Mobile Equipment

  BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  One year of Maintenance experience

  Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  Basic Computer skills.

  Prefer to have working knowledge of plant equipment, its operation, and how to repair.

  Prefer experience with Steel work (cutting, welding, and fabrication).

  Prefer experience Piping of air and gas lines.
