What will you be doing?
The Maintenance technician will be reporting directly to the assigned Director of Plant Operations. They will work collaboratively with their team to perform a variety of skilled duties in building trades. These duties consist of, but are not limited to the following: painting, carpentry, minor electrical/ plumbing, and all other recognized crafts pertaining to the maintaining, repairing and upkeep of the BriteLife Recovery Facilities.
What tasks are required?
Assists and performs semi skilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair and construction tasks in the upkeep of the building.
Assists and performs with installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics.
Assists and performs functions in the construction, installation and maintenance of roofs, furniture, fences, cabinets, shelving, marker boards/chalkboards, tack boards and a variety of other structures and items.
Prepares and paints walls and woodwork or performs other types of refinish; installs or repairs carpet and other flooring; performs custodial duties as required.
What do we need from you?
Preferred: Two years maintenance experience
Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented
Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask
Experience working in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
Ability to push/lift 50 pounds
Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching and other repeated body movements as job requires
Ability to work in extreme temperatures
Ability to climb ladders
