High school diploma.
Supervisory experience; preferably supervisory experience with a staffof at least three employees.
Proficiency in PC systems and MS Office, as well as the ability tobecome proficient in other software packages and programs as necessary.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, andcommitment to further developing these skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (in writing and verbally)with staff.
Ability to work overtime hours as requested.
Ability to schedule time off during non-busy seasons.
Ability to type accurately.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Understand the mail appeals stream.
Scan the contents of each envelope for pertinent tracking and code andseparate various mail categories needed for the date entry area.
Prepare bank deposits in conjunction with the needs of the financedepartment, e.g., using the check proofer.
Insure that the bank deposits transferred to the messenger and the mailbatches given to Data Entry group match.
Track any discrepancies before the opened mail leaves the mailprocessing center.
Assist in other work tasks, i.e., filing, preparing mailings, etc., andoccasional data entry.
Supervise the day to day activities of the Mail Processing/Caging staffto ensure that the goals and deadlines of the Development department aremet.
Communicate break and lunch times to the Caging staff and monitor theseperiods.
Immediately report malfunctions of the mail processing hardware orsoftware.
