Machinists | || | provide input to determine method and sequence of work | || | operations. Machinist will use judgment and reasoning to check | || | precision machined parts and assemblies to specified | || | operational, test and quality requirements. Machinist shall be | || | able to collaborate with internal customers, support | || | organizations, and supervisors to solve design and/or | || | developmental problems. Machinist shall perform all tasks | || | involved in the coordina ion, preparation, and movement of | || | materials for their assigned area. Machinist must be able to | || | integrate into established processes for the correction of | || | discrepancies and demonstrate pride and ownership of the work | || | they produce. Machinists must conduct themselves in accordance | || | with approved processes and procedures. | || | | || | Major Duties and Responsibilities: | || | | || | Assembles and configures fixturing, loads and sets up tooling, | || | confirms machine operability, and operates machines to produce | || | components in compliance with customers specifications. | || | | || | Read and correctly interpret design intent communicated via | || | design drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5. Shall also obtain | || | amplifying information from sketches, diagrams, specifications, | || | verbal information, handbook formulas, job layouts, shop orders, | || | and manufacturing procedures. | || | | || | Demonstrates proficiency employing shop mathematics including | || | trigonometry and geometry. | || | | || | Must be trained and proficient in the correct use of precision | || | measuring instruments and methods typically used by machinists. | || | | || | Select proper tools, fixtures, machine attachments, equipment as | || | communicated in the manufacturing plan/work package, to complete | || | work assignment; detect faulty tools and initiate corrective | || | action. | || | | || | Monitor machine system operations including | || | electrical/electronic and mechanical diagnostics and cutter, | || | probe, and sensor data to detect pending issues and take | || | corrective action before affecting part quality. | || | | || | Perform other related duties as assigned. | || | | || | ## | || | | || | Qualifications | || | | || | Education and Experience Requirements | || | | || | Minimum Qualifications: | || | | || | High School Diploma or GED | || | | || | Five (5) years of Machinist experience in a manufacturing | || | environment | || | | || | Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance | || | | || | Preferred Qualifications: | || |
