Aerotek is hiring experienced machinists!!!!

　　Description:

　　CMMC is a large job shop at the Old Naval Base in Charleston, SC. They do a lot of work on large driveshafts for aircraft carriers and large ships. Candidates must have experience working in a job shop and with large equipment. In place machining experience (on-site work) would be preferred

　　-Need to be able to read drawings/ understand fractions, ratios, proportions, comfortable using machining tools (calipers, micrometers)

　　Machinist will set up and operate manually controlled machines in skilled precision and bench work in the fabrication, maintenance, repair, and alteration of machinery, machine parts, tools, and equipment

　　-Use precision tools, Manual & CNC machinery, and equipment such as lathes, milling machines, horizontal boring mills, vertical turning lathes, grinders, drill press, hydraulic press, band saw, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment

　　-Fabricate, machine, and/or shape parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal

　　-Properly and safely select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines

　　Skills:

　　lathe, mill, blueprints, planers, bridgeport mill, vertical turning lathe, horizontal boring mill, grinder, hydraulics, bridgeport milling, large parts, calipers, micrometers, gauge

　　Top Skills Details:

　　lathe, mill

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　3-5 years manual machining experience

　　6-10 years total job shop experience

　　Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane

　　Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required

　　Programming experience a plus

　　Micrometer/Caliper experience needed

　　Armed force is a huge plus- experience more in lap with what they look for

　　AvsB - 90% manual experience, 10% cnc, experience outweighs education

　　Experience Level:

　　Intermediate Level
