　　Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research is looking to fill our Machinist role. Experienced and entry level machine operators are welcome to apply. In this position you will produce test specimens that correlate with customer specifications and blueprints. You will operate machinery such as saws, manual mills, and CNC mills and lathes. 　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

　　View drawings and blueprints to understand what dimensions the materials need to be cut/shaped intoThink creatively to determine the most effective and efficient way to cut the material into the desired shape and sizeSelect the proper materials and tools to get the job done, such as calipers, drills and millsSet up and program the cutting machines to make the part, using CAD and CNC softwareInspect finished product to ensure accuracyPerforms other duties and tasks as assigned

　　US Citizenship requiredHigh school diploma or GED requiredMechanically inclined individuals preferredCNC operation/programming experience preferredAuto CAD experience preferredExperience working with and understanding blueprints preferredFundamental understanding of M and G codesStrong mechanical aptitudeStrong analytical skillsStrong attention to detailStrong organizational skillsStrong time management skillsThe ability to work independently as well as in a team environmentAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs in a physical environmentAbility to stand, sit, or move around for prolonged periods of timeBenefits Offered:
