　　Essential Job Duties:

　　The Machine Operator (1st shift) will operate various auto thread machines. The Operator is responsible for loading the machines with pieces of pipe that have been cut to a specified length per the production schedule (cut blanks). Some machines must be "hand-fed" by the operator. The operator uses his/her hands to pick up the cut blanks out of the tun and place them into the machine loading magazine (above shoulder reach). Other machines are fed automatically as the operator uses a rake to pull cut blanks into a large bowl that rotates and loads them into the machines.

　　The operator may be responsible for running up to six machines based on production demands.

　　Required Skills:

　　•    Requires constant standing and walking (up to 10 hours per day)•    Repetitive use of both hands (up to 10 hours per day)•    Requires repetitive twisting•    Repetitive reaching at and above shoulder level and bending at the waist•    Working with cutting oil•    An awareness of exposed cuttings and moving parts of the machine•    Lifting up to 30 lbs.
