JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The Machine Operator will performduties related to glass cutting, tempering, and handling in accordancewith customer orders. All Machinist\'s will be responsible for learningand working all facility machine stations as required safely andproductively. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Work is physicalin nature requiring ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis(sometimes overhead) -Responsible for operation of cutting,edging/seaming machines. Must produce a finished product within standardtolerance. -Must have the ability to set up, operate and perform basicmaintenance on all machines (cutter) within the department -Pre-stageraw material (glass) according to work orders and place finish productin appropriate staging areas in accordance with established glasshandling guidelines -Gripping, cupping and clamping hand and wristmotions are required to support, carry and maneuver glass/objects toplatform heights of three feet in a manner considered safe for self andothers -Responsible for maintaining work area, inventory control,quality control in relation to the other product being assembled, andmeeting production needs set by management -MUST be dependable,hardworking, pro-active in performing assigned duties, ability to makesound decisions related to safety and have multi-task capabilities-Ability to perform repetitive work in a fast paced productionenvironment -Ability to be cross-trained to perform job duties of otherwork stations -Perform other duties as assigned ***** OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: To perform this jobsuccessfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily.
