Join our diverse team of problem solvers as weadd new chapters to the history of spaceflight!Lunar Transportation: This role is part of the Lunar Transportation businessunit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander productlines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people livingand working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for ourtransport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, andengineers you will bespecifying and developing new pumps and compressors forcryogenic hydrogen and oxygen. Work will include the complete life cycle ofthe system from definition, interfaces, conceptual design, detaileddesign, component development, assembly, verification, andoperation.You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners aspart of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development(SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the LunarTransportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend humanpresence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.Responsibilities included but are not limited to:Own your components from initial design to analyzing data from their landingon the moon!Define requirements, design, and perform 1st order analyses to verify yourdesigns.Build Lunar vehicles in CAD by modeling pumps and compressors in the flightvehicle.Size, select material, and analyze these components for structuralintegrity due to pressure, vibration, fracture, fatigue, etc.Manage suppliers or Blue groups to procure, fabricate, and install flighthardware.Create and manage the project plans for various hardware including cost andschedule.Mentor engineers and perform technical peer reviews.Minimum Qualifications:B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field5+ years of direct experience designing cryogenic fluid pumps andcompressors, either positive displacement or turbomachineryStrong demonstrated skills in fluids, thermodynamics, and pump sizingExperience performing the structural and fluid design and analysis using toolssuch as ANSYSExperience interpreting and generating Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams(P&IDs)Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships,and contribute to a culture of collaboration and inclusionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current GreenCard holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or grantedasylum
