Position Summary:
The Research Foundation at SUNY Cortland is excited to accept applicants for a part-time Program Coordinator for SUNY’s Liberty Partnerships Program ( LPP ) at the high school in Auburn, New York. The program coordinator will work 3 days week and will collaborate with the partner school personnel, SUNY Cortland personnel, and the LPP program director on the development, implementation and evaluation of instructional programs and services to maximize opportunities for successful completion of high school for identified students grades 7-12. Program Coordinators work during the school year from September through June and one week during the summer on program planning and assessment. This position is paid a offers a flexible 3 day work week schedule and a beginning biweekly rate of $1039.50. Works in collaboration with the partner school personnel, SUNY Cortland and the LPP program director.
Recruits eligible at-risk students to the LPP program with support from school staff
Supports LPP students on-site with their academic work in helping them meet New York State learning standards through strategic tutoring and academic counseling
Assists students in creating short term and long term goals for making progress academically, socially, and personnel
Assesses and records student academic and personal progress throughout the year
Analyzes assessment data and observations to determine how best to support student progress
Plans and provides periodic enrichment and social activities for program students
Assists students in exploring post-high school college and career options
Communicates with parents/guardians on an ongoing basis.
Maintains all records and student files in compliance with federal and state privacy regulations ( FERPA ) on site in the partnering school districts
Manages student cases effectively, thoroughly, and in a timely manner
Ensures case notes and records align with LPP standards and New York State
Department of Education reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Demonstrated work experience in an educational environment, including teaching,
Experience in one or more of the following human service areas; mentoring, counseling, social work and/or planning and assessment.
Demonstrated skills utilizing technology
Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
Current New York State certification in Adolescence Education Grades 7-12 or school
counseling
Master’s degree in education, school counseling and/or social work.
