About the unit

　　We are 1 of 3 offices in the Neuro service line of Corewell Health, specifically Neurosciences. Our team supports four subspecialties, including Epilepsy, Neurosurgery, Neurovascular, and Movement Disorders. We are an outpatient office that provides extensive continuing care for a variety of patients, including those with epileptic and non-epileptic seizures, strokes and aneurysms, ailments of the spine and brain, and Parkinson's Disease. While our clinic is outpatient, our team works closely with the inpatient Neurosurgery/Neurovascular/Epilepsy teams at Butterworth Hospital to round out an outstanding care team for our patients. We operate during business hours Monday through Friday (No Weekends or Holidays!) We have a diverse team that is devoted to managing care for patients and building our culture every day! We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and dedicated candidate who values excellent care for our patient demographic.

　　About Outpatient Clinics

　　Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

　　Scope of work

　　Under the direction of the RN/Advanced Practice Provider/Physician and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Informs patients and families about treatments and medications being received, equipment being utilized, and other related activities as appropriate, in coordination with the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician. Documents care provided via computer/written patient record in a manner consistent with guidelines.

　　High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

　　Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Program

　　Successful completion of competency based orientation program Required

　　MI Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required

　　AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
