As a Localization Engineer, you will be responsible for scaling localization capabilities through automation and tooling. Solutions that you design and implement in the localization process will have a direct impact on improving the team's efficiency and accelerating time to market of localized products world-wide. You will be developing the solution in integrating and automating localization workflows and processes across system and tools, increasing efficiency and productivity of translation and localization operations. You will start from small to big business problems, look into complex localization processes and workflows, investigate the advantage and limitations of existing systems and tools, drive automation priorities from concept to delivery. You will also lead and own the tooling strategy and development that changing today's localization operating models for scalability and flexibility optimization. You will work closely with cross-function teams to translate requirements and problems into automation solutions with ROI and prioritization mindset. As a successful candidate, you have strong programming skills and track record working in localization domain to design and deliver clear and readable deliverables with mission-critical reliability. You learn quickly, ramp up quickly, prioritize tradeoffs and align with partner teams to deliver the highest quality.
Key job responsibilities
· Develop the best practices for Content Management System and Translation Management System integration to streamline the localization processes.
· Develop scripts and tools to automate the localization and translation workflows.
· Optimize existing integration and tools to improve business scalability and efficiency.
· Design metrics and methodology for automation and tooling performance measurement.
· Develop localization QA engineering processes, workflows and dependencies independently and reliably.
· Influence partner and dependent engineering teams' roadmaps and priorities.
Think analytically and effectively communicate problems and fixes.

The Partner Support and Solution team strives to make Amazon the best place for Selling, Vendors and Brands owners to reach customers, driven by the experience and support we provide them in growing their businesses locally and globally. Within this group the Language Experience, Localization and Insights team plays a key role in supporting these customers by driving the development of high-quality, user-centered content with latest Machine Learning technologies. We set the tone for the global business by creating great content across 30+ languages. This team is currently looking for an experienced Localization Engineer.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
3+ years of experience with at least one modern programming or scripting language (Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Python, Rust, Pearl and etc.)
5+ years of experience in globalization localization, localizability and content management.
Excellent knowledge of content development cycle with different CMSs and TMSs.
Proficient knowledge in localization processes and testing.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and above in engineering.
Ability to explain complex concepts, problems and solutions in easy-to-understand terms.
Experience on Machine Translations and quality evaluations.
Knowledge of language data analytics and management.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $84,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
