Position Summary: Loads pallets of products ontotrailers according to load diagram or by customer. Essential Functions:Inspects trailer interiors for cleanliness. Loads pallets onto trucks ortrailers in proper sequence per computer generated loadsheet. Handstacks product on trucks when necessary. Secures pallets with load barsor load straps. Verifies that all pallets are placed on the correcttruck. Sets the refrigeration units at the proper temperature. Wraps allpallets with shrink-wrap prior to loading on trailers. Completeshousekeeping activities on a daily basis. Adheres to the mission andcornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization. Otherduties and responsibilities as assigned. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environmentrequiring constant walking, ascending/descending stairs or pallet jackplatform, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying. Must be able to read,write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners,signage, company website information related to benefits, updates,complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions). Must be able to workindependently or within a team environment. Must adhere to all safetyregulations and procedures. Employees in all warehouse positions must beable to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells,alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup,movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets,overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated insideor outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risksituations during warehouse operations.
