JOB REQUIREMENTS: Liquor Store Assistant Manager 20 to 40 hours perweek. The Liquor Store Assistant Manager will assist owner and businessmanager in running the locally-owned Cannery Wine and Spirits in SunPrairie. Role involves overseeing store associates, scheduling,inventory, and stocking. Provide customer service by greeting andassisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking,reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers.Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayedand that it functions as advertised. Monitor sales activities to ensurethat customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods. Instructstaff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales. Assign employeesto specific duties. Keep records of purchases, sales, and requisitions.Perform work activities of subordinates, such as cleaning and organizingshelves and displays and selling merchandise. Plan and prepare workschedules and keep records of employees\' work schedules and time cards.Review inventory and sales records to prepare reports for management andbudget departments. Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops toa specified level. Establish and implement policies, goals, objectives,and procedures for the department. Enforce safety, health, and securityrules. Examine products purchased for resale or received for storage toassess the condition of each product or item. Confer with companyofficials to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expandmarkets, and promote business. Hire, train, and evaluate personnel insales or marketing establishments, promoting or firing workers whenappropriate. Plan budgets and authorize payments and merchandisereturns. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Must haveexcellent customer service skills and standards. Familiarity with POSand some understanding of the liquor, beer, wine or homebrewingindustries desired. Inventory and stocking nice to have. Ability andexperience in sales or retail settings ideal.
