Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux Administrator to join ourdynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing,configuring, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers andrelated software. This role involves routine system monitoring,performance tuning, troubleshooting, and collaboration with OracleDatabase Administrators. The Linux Administrator will play a crucialrole in implementing software upgrades, patches, and automationprocesses, ensuring system reliability and compliance with US Governmentstandards. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain Red HatEnterprise Linux servers and related software. Perform routine systemmonitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure systemreliability and performance. Manage, coordinate, and implement softwareupgrades, patches, and hot fixes on servers. Work with Oracle DatabaseAdministrators to maintain, optimize, and expand the Oracle environment.Provide end user support, such as user management, script review, andtraining. Help automate server maintenance, including running scriptsand automated processes. Maintain best practices on managing systems andservices across all environments. Maintain systems and services acrossall environments to comply with US Government standards. Create andmaintain system, service, and procedure documentation. Document allIncidents, Outages, and Changes within Service Now.
Required Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Extensive understanding of Linux, including RedHat and Suse.Experience with VMWare EXSi / VSphere.
Knowledge of Oracle software products (RAC, OEM, APEX, etc).
Linux automation via Ansible.
Public Trust/ Sensitive clearance.
Desired Skills:
Associates degree in Computer Science or related field (orequivalent experience).
Knowledgeable in Configuration management of software and hardware.
SOLR Search Engine experience, including Apache Tomcat.
Understanding of SAN Administration and concepts.
Experience with Docker.
Minimal Windows Administration knowledge to assist with opening enduser tickets.
