What you'll do:
Canadian Tire's Line Review Operations (LRO) department is accountable for the end-to-end line review process whereby assortment execution and financial decisions are made and implemented for a given Line of Business (LOB). The LRO Quality and Execution team is accountable for delivering the deal letter. The deal letter is the document and ordering tool that presents strategy, financial and assortment selections to the retail store network.
Reporting to the Manager, Line Review Quality and Execution, the Line Review Consultant, is a key member of the line review team that works with the Category Business Managers and Category Business Analyst as well as other cross-functional teams to create retail-ready, easy to execute Deal Letters that meet the highest quality standards. Through understanding the guidelines, processes and policies, the Consultant builds, and quality checks the Deal Letter document until it is ready for publishing and collaborates with various stakeholder groups to resolve or escalate issues to ensure quality standards and timelines are met.
Accountable for the end to end deal letter build process to deliver quality, on-time deal letters through prioritization, scope alignment, design, creation, and issue resolution on all facets of the letter across all Merchandising lines of business including Automotive
Accountable to conduct quality assurance checks on all line review letters to ensure LRO standards for integrity and accuracy are adhered to and ensures recommendations for any improvements back to merchandising or cross functional teams across CTR are implemented.
Leads pre-deal kickoff with merchandising teams to validate strategy, product assortment details and recommends any special treatments to ensure success of deal letter
Influences upstream work of merchandising, Translations, Log Deal Management teams through managing and fostering positive and efficient working relationships
SME and central point of contact for line review processes across CTR including merchandising, space planning, supply chain solutions, and packaging
Analyze deal letter performance and conduct post-mortems with merchandising teams and provide recommendations on how to improve deal letter quality metrics, on time mail rate and improve execution of deal letter for following year(s)
