The Opportunity:
The Assembly Line Associate position is responsible for performing various tasks on the assembly line to support the assembly process and producing quality merchandise on schedule.
Day Shift: M-F
Pay Rate: 16/hr.
How you will impact WestRock:
Perform various tasks on the assembly line, such as open cartons, place products on tables, apply labels, pack product, and tape boxes.
Wrap and/or band pallets and tag pallets; move pallets to appropriate area for removal.
Remove trash and debris from lines; assist with overall housekeeping tasks on the line.
Assist line leaders as needed.
Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
Work safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Overtime is required.
Perform other duties as assigned; duties may vary on facility’s needs.
What you need to succeed:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
