　　Description:

　　General Summary

　　Assist guests in the proper use of pool facilities and equipment. Monitor activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and to provide a safe and healthy aquatic environment for hotel guests. Maintains cleanliness of pool deck area and provides excellent guest service. Handle any emergencies as appropriate.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities

　　Maintains supervision of the pool, ensuring the safety of the pool area.

　　Appropriately addresses any issues, concerns or rule violations with guests.

　　Recognizes and responds effectively to all emergencies.

　　Enforces all facility rules and regulations.

　　Maintains a clean and attractive pool environment.

　　Reports any unsafe conditions to the pool manager or lead lifeguard.

　　Performs on poolside stage with games and activities for guests.

　　Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

　　Provide outstanding guest service to all internal and external guests.

　　Requirements:

　　Job Specifications – Qualifications

　　Must be at least 16 years of age.

　　One to three months of related experience or training preferred.

　　Must have excellent guest service skills.

　　Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.

　　Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions in emergency situations.

　　Ability to effectively communicate in both one-on-one and group settings.

　　Must be able to obtain and maintain all cards required by the company.

　　Must be able to verify right to work in the U.S.

　　Working Conditions – Physical Requirements

　　Frequently walk, stand or stoop (over 75% of the time).

　　Ability to walk and/or run on slippery surfaces (over 75% of the time).

　　Regularly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (50% of the time).

　　Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 200 lbs.

　　Speech, hearing, literacy, and vision (critical).

　　Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels and extreme weather conditions (over 75% of the time).

　　Required Work Cards

　　CPR and First-Aid certification
