Main Function:
Lead the development and implementation of a stimulating lifestyle/wellness program encompassing physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual activities to meet Clark Meadows resident needs and adjusts schedule to meet these needs which will include weekends and evenings. To coordinate offerings with the assistance of an interdisciplinary team consisting or Resident Services Manager, Case Manager, volunteers, and community groups necessary to complete the delivery of the programs.
Required Job Specific Competencies:
Must have verbal and written communication skills in the English language necessary to communicate and work effectively with various levels of staff, residents, family members and the public.
Valid New York State Driver's License.
Experience
Three years of experience in activities and programs designed to enhance the well being of a diverse population of seniors in a residential setting.
Knowledge and experience with memory impairment.
Public relations and public speaking experience in promoting and advertising events a plus.
Education
Bachelors Degree preferred in Recreation, Human Services, Gerontology or other related field.Qualifications:
CTRS preferred.
Other certifications considered.
Strong leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, computer skills, and organization skills.
Salary Range:
$20.00 - $26.00
Starting Rate:
Based on experience.
