  Job Description Summary:

  This position supervises and coordinates assigned staff and activities to ensure quality service and care throughout assigned area(s). Works closely with leadership regarding operations and continuous quality improvement.

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

  Minimum of one (1) year leadership experience required. Leadership experience in a related position preferred.

  Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in assigned area(s) required.

  Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

  Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

  Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

  Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

  Job Specific Duties:

  Supervises the day-to-day operations for assigned area(s).

  Supports education, improvement, and safety of practices.

  Supervises the experience, immediate service recovery, transparency, responds appropriately to questions, and concerns per department protocol as applicable to assigned area(s).

  As applicable to assigned area(s): Monitors appropriate A/R indicators, billing, collection queues and selected account reports; routinely audits payment and adjustment postings for compliance regulations per department protocol; supervises the billing and collection operations to ensure consistent application of policies and practices.

  Responsible for the support and maintenance of computer applications and facilitates coordination between system users and IS as applicable to assigned area(s).

  Assists with preparation of reporting tasks per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).

  Actively assists in the evaluation, development, implementation, and revision of policies and procedures as applicable to assigned area(s).

  Assists leadership in setting annual goals for the department and departmental operations and budgets; strives to implement procedures and processes to increase revenue as applicable to assigned area(s).

  Maintains a working knowledge of assigned staff functions to assure efficient back up coverage as needed as applicable to assigned area(s).

  Assures timely and accurate data entry of billing, collections and scheduling data. Conducts periodic audits of data entry to assure consistency and accuracy.

  Informs, educates and coordinates with appropriate stakeholders regarding coding, front office procedures, patient information, and charge capture process for facility encounters as applicable to assigned area(s).

  Leads the hiring process, preparation and delivery of evaluations and corrective action for assigned staff.

  Supervisors may be expected to perform the following tasks regularly:

  Creates work schedule and assigns employees to specific work tasks.

  Trains and/or coordinates the training of assigned staff.

  Oversees and coordinates successful completion of employees’ competency assessments and required training.

  Acts as point-of-contact/subject matter expert for assigned staff.

  Leads and/or coordinates compliance and quality efforts.

  The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification. Specific duties and responsibilities may vary based upon departmental needs. Other duties may be assigned similar to the above consistent with knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job. Not all of the duties may be assigned to a position.

  Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

  Shift:

  Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

  Schedule Details:

  Schedule:

  Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
