Responsibilities Provides quality patient care by performingtreatments and procedures according to established protocols. Observespatients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatmentAdministers specified medications as allowed by policy and procedure,licensure, and State Practice Act. Responds in a safe and timely mannerto patient requests and reports significant observations to the RNpromptly. Demonstrates knowledge of the patient\'s plan of care anddelivers care safely and within established standards and guidelines.Participates in planning for patient\'s care by providing input to theRN and under the direction of the RN, assists in implementing thepatient care plan. Demonstrates knowledge of established hospital andnursing policies. Identifies emergency situations, initiates nursingmeasures as appropriate within scope of practice in emergency situationsand seeks assistance and direction as necessary. Instructs patients inself-care according to the teaching plan and the directions of the RN.Documents this aspect of the patient\'s care. Participates in QA & I.May include day, evening, night, weekend, holiday, and/or on-call hours.Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Graduate ofan accredited LPN Program.
