  Vibra Hospital of Denver, located in Thornton, CO, is a 54 bed CriticalCare Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering fromserious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional criticalcare services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectiousdiseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputationand ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer anopportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where youreally get to know your patients and their families.

  Responsibilities

  The LPN/LVN is responsible for clinical functions on the unit, includingall aspects of patient care incorporating the nursing process in accordancewith the applicable Nurse Practice Act. The staff LPN/LVN shall ensure thatthe unit to which assigned shall function in a smooth, organized, andefficient manner as directed by the Registered Nurse. The provision of careincludes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursingcare. Specific components of the licensed practical/vocational nurse roleinclude demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care,improving quality of care, establishing professional relationships andutilizing professional skills, fulfilling responsibilities of the role ofthe hospital, and developing clinical expertise per specialty.Required Skills:Current, valid, and active license to practice as a LicensedPractical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment required.Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.IV Certification required.Additional Qualifications/Skills:One (1) year of clinical experience in a health care setting preferred.Three (3) years medical/surgical experience preferred.One (1) year of area specific experience preferred.Ability to project a professional image.Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in theworkplace.Benefits

  The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors thatare considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limitedto, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure andcertifications, and other business and organizational needs. It's nottypical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range fortheir role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts andcircumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is$25.87 to $35.52Shift Differentials:NOC - $5/hr on weekday nights, $8/hr on weekend nightsDay weekends - $2.50/hr
