Primary Purpose: Preserve and organize the College of Law archives and support library services for students, faculty, and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in preparing law library displays.
Works regularly scheduled hours at the circulation desk.
Participates, as needed, in the following:
interlibrary loans
study room reservations
maintenance of course reserves materials
maintenance of patron records
maintenance of library office equipment including printers, copiers and microform reader/printers
assist in receiving, sorting and processing incoming and outgoing campus mail
assist in maintenance/revision of policy and procedure manuals
Maintains a collaborative work environment and works well with others.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
High school diploma/GED required. At least 2 years library experience required, preferably in an academic or public library. Should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong customer service skills. Ability to work as a positive team player. Good organization skills, flexibility, the ability to multi-task, sound judgment and a high level of interpersonal skills are required. Must be detail-oriented with excellent follow-through. Customer service training and experience preferred. Flexibility to work outside the normal assigned schedule when requested.
