Description
We are providing an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our team in Saint Louis, Missouri. As a Legal Systems Assistant , you will be playing a pivotal role in the legal industry by handling case management, creating legal documents, and ensuring smooth office operations.
Having accurate and updated data that is easily accessible through a digital case management database;
Transfer data from various formats and sources into a computer case management database system using a keyboard, in-program document upload system, or network scanner;
Create client records and case projects from various documents without error and in a timely manner;
Verify large amounts of data by comparing it to source documents, emails, etc.;
Audit existing data in the case management database to determine and correct missing or insufficient data;
Retrieve data from said database by means of reporting to electronic files as requested;
Perform other data entry duties as directed by the Legal Systems Administrator.
Requirements • Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in the role of a Legal Assistant, preferably within the field of asbestos litigation.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience handling medical records.
• Proven expertise in asbestos litigation, with the ability to manage case files, prepare legal documents, and assist with trial preparations.
• Must have exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with legal personnel and clients.
• Proficiency in using legal software and other computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented with an aptitude for thorough research and accurate record keeping.
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
