About Legal Assistant / Receptionist

  Talis Group’s company client, a civil defense litigation firm located on Louisville’s east side is hiring a Legal Assistant/ Receptionist to support attorneys with calendar management, scheduling, filing and answering phones. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Benefit package includes 100% employer paid individual Health insurance, Dental, Vision, 401K, Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Time off, Paid Holidays. Highlighted Duties:Answer main phone line, provide information to callers, route calls, take messages, greet visitors, prepare conference rooms for meetings, type routine correspondence.Scheduling appointments, motion hours, depositions, etc. and accurately maintaining attorney calendar to keep track of deadlines.Daily scanning of incoming mail and other documents, naming & saving in the appropriate file locations.Maintaining and organizing electronic file and pleading indexes.Daily interactions and correspondence with attorneys, staff, court officials, opposite counsel and other persons.E-filing pleadings within the KY Court of Justice online filing system and the Federal online filing system.Highlighted Requirements:2 or more years of experience supporting an attorney.At least 2 years of general office experience is required.Litigation Firm experience desired, but not required.Experience in maintaining attorney or executive calendars and scheduling.Strong verbal & written communication skills.Attention to detail.Accuracy while handling multiple tasks.Above average knowledge of computers including Outlook, MS Word and internet navigation.Positive team player mentality.Great typing skills.Court E-filing experience preferred but not required (state and federal court).This information is a brief job summary for recruiting purposes only and does not constitute the entire job description, duties or requirements for this position.Conditions of Employment: Job offers could be contingent upon complying with the company’s vaccination policy, acceptable results of a criminal background check, negative results of a drug screen, a physical etc. or any combination thereof.
