Description We are offering a contract opportunity for a Legal Assistant in the Legal industry, based in BALTIMORE, Maryland. The role involves providing support in Workers’ Compensation and Liability Insurance Defense, and offers the chance to enhance litigation and case management skills in various practice areas.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support in Workers’ Compensation and Liability Insurance Defense

• Assist in the advancement of litigation and case management skills

• Work in various practice areas according to requirements

• Master the drafting and processing of pleadings and other legal documents

• Learn and implement legal processes independently

• Handle hands-on responsibility and work independently

• Manage claims and contribute to litigation strategy

• Ensure excellent communication, attention to detail, and follow-up skills

• Use Time Matters or other case management software efficiently (experience is considered beneficial, but not mandatory)

• Assist in the resolution of customer credit inquiries and monitor customer credit accounts. Requirements

• Proficient skills in drafting legal documents and correspondence

• Demonstrable experience in litigation support

• Ability to prepare and file legal pleadings in a court of law

• Strong skills in case management

• Proficiency in handling, preparing, and managing legal documentation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other legal software
