About Legal Assistant

  Talis Group’s client is a full-service law firm with practice in the areas of litigation, family law, probate, corporate, and employment law located in the downtown Louisville area. This highly reputable law firm is hiring a Legal Assistant for their Estate Planning Practice Group. Firm offers excellent benefits, including health insurance, life insurance and 401K. Hours are 8:30-5:30 Monday through Friday.Highlighted Duties:Paralegal/ Legal Assistant support for attorney in corporate law and estate planning. Manage attorney calendar, scheduling and monitoring deadlines as well as meetings.Dictation/ Drafting of legal documents and correspondence. Proofreading and editing documents.Maintain case files, updating and organizing documents for easy retrieval.Assist Attorney with meeting preparation and court appearances.Highlighted Requirements:Previous legal secretary experience in Estate Planning desired.Attention to detail and good organization skills requiredProfessional demeanor; able to work with all levels of personnel, clients and business partners.Strong work processing/typing, proofreading and editing of letters and documents.Deadline driven sensibility.References, assessments and background check may be required.This information is a brief job summary for recruiting purposes only and does not constitute the entire job description, duties or requirements for this position.Conditions of Employment: Job offers could be contingent upon complying with the company’s vaccination policy, acceptable results of a criminal background check, negative results of a drug screen, a physical etc. or any combination thereof.
