The role of thispositionis to be the project lead for field service work. They are the primary contact for management and customers and will be partnered with training techs to develop strong skillsets. This position reports to the Field Services Supervisor.Essential Responsibilities
Serve as project leadPerform scheduled maintenance and general service on wind turbinesPerform diagnostic electrical analysisTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical issues, and repairTrain & Mentor entry-level techniciansMaintain and inventory of issued tooling and equipmentComplete and submit reports accurately and on-timePerform other skilled and non-skilled duties as assignedQualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent; associates degree in a technical field preferred1 years of experience completing up tower generator repairs to include: Bearing changes, Rotor Relead, AWA Electrical testing, Wye ring replacements required, 3 preferred1 years of experience in a supervisory, training, or project leadershiprole5 years of hands-on mechanical experienceExtensive knowledge of multiple turbine platforms include: GE, Vestas, SiemensStrong electrical and mechanical aptitudeAbility to understand, perform, and retain various skill-related training, operational and safety proceduresAble and willing to travel 100% of the timeAble and willing to work weekends and/or overtime as neededWork efficiently alone, as well as effectively within a teamAbleto climb towers unassisted up to 350 feetValid driver's license; CDL preferredThe hourlycompensation for this role is $33.00- $39.00per hour and is commensurate on experience and education.
