WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We’re looking for a Strategic Portfolio Manager to join the Converse Product Merchandising Operations team. This person will project lead key initiatives in our end-to-end digital ecosystem, as well as, interact directly with internal business partners and vendors on implementation efforts.
This individual will run the business execution of the end-to-end digital ecosystem through software upgrades and enhancements, new system and process implementations and supporting ongoing intake reviews and prioritization. This is an exciting team to work on, with a lot of opportunities to directly impact the future of Converse!
The candidate brings knowledge and shown success in planning, directing, and completing strategic projects. They will have a keen interest or background in footwear and apparel creation processes and supporting applications. They are proficient in digital collaborative project management tools, capable of working with multiple partners, and balancing multiple projects to deliver quality results within complex timelines. They will need an agile demeanor and familiarity of delivering solutions within an agile framework.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Responsible for running the product ownership for merchandising and product creation applications.
This will include production support, intake management, requirements gathering, and driving subject matter expert (SME) testing and sign-off for in-flight enhancements and future requests.
Product Ownership includes:
Administering governance processes for coordination with SMEs using digital collaborative project management tools
Capturing business requirements for new software solutions
Evaluating and communicating prioritization of requests with technical & business partners
Creating test script in partnership with SMEs
Coordinating software solution testing with SMEs
Preparing communications for rollout (change management & basic training documentation)
Prioritizing Go Live Support including: comms, training, rollout support, issue capture & resolution
Strategic Portfolio Management includes:
Define critical metric reporting requirements that evaluate the health of the portfolio applications
Summarize and communicate key performance findings to project partners
Evaluate and communicate roadmap risks and dependencies
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role will report into the Strategic Portfolio Management Op Director. This team is responsible for supporting the roadmap and execution of existing and future technology solutions.
The candidate will partner with other leads in Product Merch Ops, the Technical Product Managers (Product Creation and Digital Product Design and Merchandising), Project Core leaders, as well as each functional area’s key partners (finance, design, engineering, tech design, materials, global and geo product development, product merchandising and planning teams).
WHAT YOU BRING
4 year BA degree or equivalent experience
5+ years supporting an end-to-end digital solution and/or product lifecycle management systems for product creation
Experience working in digital collaborative tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Miro)
Ability to balance multiple projects and timelines while maintaining keen attention to detail
Tolerance for ambiguity, and an agile approach towards how we work
Ability to work well with a large variety of personalities at all levels of the business
