　　Job Summary

　　Spot by NetApp is growing its cloud portfolio, adding new products and features at a rapid pace. This is an exciting opportunity to architect and lead our technical publishing strategy. As a Technical Documentation Lead at Spot, you will drive our information architecture strategy and partner with Product and Engineering teams to ensure the creation and management of world-class user documentation.

　　You will learn about NPI (New Product Introduction) and new features at a fast pace to provide information on our web-based documentation site. In addition, you will write and edit API documentation to provide clear information for customers using our API reference site.

　　Deliverables include product documentation, articles, how-to guides, example code, and troubleshooting content. This is a player-coach role where you will be hands-on with our product and engineering groups, while leading and mentoring other team members and working with outside partners to deliver documentation-related deliverables in a timely and accurate manner.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Drive the information architecture strategy for Spot by NetApp's cloud portfolio.Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to create and manage world-class user documentation.Rapidly learn about NPIs and new features to update web-based documentation.Write and edit API documentation for customers using our API reference site.Produce a range of deliverables including product documentation, articles, how-to guides, example code, and troubleshooting content.Serve in a player-coach role, being hands-on with product and engineering groups while leading and mentoring other team members.Coordinate with external partners to deliver documentation-related projects in a timely and accurate manner.

　　Job Requirements

　　Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.Minimum 8 years of technical writing experience creating B2B SaaS user documentation.Experience leading a small team, as well as outsourced agencies.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ideally familiar with SCRUM/Agile processes.Strong understanding of information architecture as it relates to user documentationExceptional technical writing, editing, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly language.Familiarity with programming terminologies, such as APIs, JSON, or YAML configuration files.Working knowledge of Markdown and GitHub (or related tools)Comfortable interacting with software developers and engineers across different regions and product lines.Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC) - desired.
