LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER “FINANCIAL SOFTWARE MODELING” – W2 ONLY

　　ALTA IT Services has a 6 + month contract engagement for a Lead Software Engineer with experience validating financial software models, to support a leading financial services organization. This role may be performed remotely; however, candidates residing in the Washington DC area preferred for future collaborations as they may arise.

　　JOB DESCRIPTION:

　　The primary responsibility of the “model software implementation validator” role is to help review implementation quality and risk controls of corporate model implementations.

　　This role is a model software implementation validator.

　　Review changes of model releases

　　The Lead Software Engineer will review changes of the model and ensure that implementations are correct and consistent with methodology. Ensure changes are approved.

　　Review code changes and production results

　　Seeking an experienced software implementation engineer with exposure to models

　　Review model releases, which are ranked in priority on a quarterly basis.

　　Complete at least 2 reviews in a quarter depending on risk rating of the model.

　　A mix of modeling exposure and software engineer is key for this role.

　　AWS and cloud release experience is important.

　　Typical models include financial models, market risk models, etc. The software engineer is expected to learn about the changes in the model that are going into the release, understand the changes and implement them.

　　Knowledge of the languages in which the releases are coded in is required. Most releases are coded in Python.

　　REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

　　Software engineering experiences (e.g., SDLC)

　　Experience with at least one programming language like Python, Java, R, C+

　　More than 5-years of work experience Modeling exposure

　　NICE TO HAVE:

　　Experience of AWS Cloud platform – Highly preferred

　　Model implementation validation experience

　　HOURLY RATE: W2 ONLY - $80/HR. RANGE. BENEFITS AVAILABLE
