Job Description:
Software Engineer Expert
Lead Software Engineer: Responsible for the overall agile delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation. The Lead Software Engineer will collaborate to gather and review software requirements and user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. The Lead Software Engineer will create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting. The Lead Software Engineer will solve configuration and environment issues.
Required Qualifications:
Five years of experience in the last seven years leading Agile DevSecOps engineering teams in a production environment developing systems orchestration and/or automation testing, utilizing industry standard CI/CD pipelines and modern coding languages/frameworks.
Minimum of three years’ experience in the last five years with APIs and designing solutions to leverage interfaces to build SDN automation and orchestration capabilities, or capabilities such as dashboarding or monitoring.
Two years of experience working within DoD network infrastructure.
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent BS degree with a focus in software development.
Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
May be based in any U.S. location including Hawaii, and available during “core hours” Hawaii Standard Time (HST). Core hours are defined as 8:00AM - 4:00PM HST.
Desired Qualifications:
Possess a current DevOps Engineer Certification.
Two years of experience working with commercial internet services providers developing SDN orchestration playbooks.
