DescriptionThe Lead Security Officer provides first line supervision to the assigned security workforce, issues duty and post assignments, makes timely required notifications, submits incident reports, and performs a variety of administrative duties such as scheduling and timekeeping. This is a working supervisor position who is one of the primary security officers on duty but also directs or oversees through his/her subordinates all responses to emergency and non-emergency situations occurring at the job site.Incumbents are required to be firearms licensed, trained and qualified.
This position is located in a remote camp on the North Slope of Alaska with a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 12-hour shifts. Lodging, meals and transportation between Anchorage and the jobsite are covered by the company. Please note that this is a seasonal position and is not eligible for benefits. The project is anticipated to last until May 2024, with the possibility of moving into a permanent position at the conclusion of the project season.

Minimum 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentValid drivers licenseArmed Security Guard License (State of Alaska) or ability to obtainGood computer skills and acceptable proficiency with Microsoft OfficePrior to deployment to the worksite, employee must pass shotgun training and qualification to include live firearms training and training specific to interacting with bears that may happen onto the worksite.As a condition of employment, must be able to successfully complete a criminal background investigation, drug screen, and a post-offer physical/fitness for duty evaluation.Denali Universal Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
