Job Description:
We are a leading company specializing in petroleum equipment and services, currently seeking an experienced Lead Mechanic for our shop in Hopkins. As a Lead Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing our fleet of vehicles. The fleet includes Chevy Vans, Ford Pickups, heavy-duty semis, Bobcat skid loaders, and mini excavators.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment
Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks
Conduct preventative maintenance activities, including engine/transmission service, transmission flushes, spark plug replacements, and other necessary repairs
Perform basic tire services, such as replacements, rotations, and DOT checks
Carry out repairs on suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems
Lead and supervise the shop team
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective workflow
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Proven experience as a mechanic, with a focus on fleet services
Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance
Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks and necessary repairs
Skilled in tire services, including replacements, rotations, and DOT checks
Experience in suspension, drivetrain, and steering system repairs
Leadership skills and the ability to supervise a team
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
Adherence to safety procedures and regulations
