　　FreeWheel is looking for passionate Lead Software Engineers to help design, build and support our high-quality, innovative video advertising platform. This position is based in New York. FreeWheel helps the television industry to monetize their premium contents through a robust technology platform, which enables consumers to view high quality videos on any devices including PC, smart phone, OTT device, set-top box and traditional TV. FreeWheel’s New York Engineering Hub is a core part of our global engineering group that is building the one-stop solution for TV industry to manage its billion-dollar revenue. Our tech platform is capable of handling billions of daily requests, processing terabytes of raw daily data, and optimizing clients’ business.

　　Job Description

　　Core Responsibilities:

　　Responsible for ad server traffic shaping, bidding strategy optimization, delivery optimization and other adserving business using machine learning technology

　　In-depth understanding of business knowledge, data analysis, utilizing machine learning, algorithm strategies, etc., to design and develop and continuously iterate FreeWheel's advertising optimization capabilities

　　Lead the team in technological innovation, building and improving current algorithm and machine learning pipelines

　　Take responsibilities for the research, development, operation and maintenance of the ad delivery optimization.

　　Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.

　　Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development and customizes current applications. Assists with the software update process for existing applications and rollouts of software releases.

　　Participates in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications.

　　Researches, writes and edits documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports.

　　Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products. Review literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.

　　Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. Serves as a guide and mentor for junior-level Software Development Engineers.

　　Displays in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.

　　Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.

　　Guides the successful completion of high profile, revenue impacting programs that use machine learning as essential components. Determines the technical objectives of an assignment. Leads the design of prototypes, partnering with the product team and other stakeholders through development. Conducts studies to support product or application development. Serves as a leader to others for machine learning technologies.

　　Designs and develops specifications, technical requirements, algorithms and frameworks of custom machine learning based designs for future products and applications.

　　Acts as a subject matter expert in designing and prototyping medium to high complexity machine learning models. Lead innovation in technical capability delivery.

　　Contributes to the realization of cutting-edge technical capabilities into business applications and solutions by being responsible for applying advanced algorithms and techniques to software solutions.

　　Researches, writes and edits documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans, confluence pages, white papers, presentations, test results, technical manuals, formal recommendations and reports. Creates patents, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and other intellectual property. Presents papers and/or attends conferences, as well as displaying leadership in these areas.

　　Tests and evaluates solutions presented to the Company by various internal and external partners and vendors. Completes case studies, testing and reporting.

　　Represents the work team and organization as the prime technical contact on assigned projects.

　　Serves as a leader to others on assigned projects. Provides guidance and leadership to more junior engineers.

　　Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

　　Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

　　Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

　　Qualifications:

　　· Proficient in one of Linux C++, Golang, or Spark, with excellent algorithm foundation and system design skills.

　　Strong foundation in machine learning and mathematical statistics, familiarity with TensorFlow or other mainstream machine learning frameworks

　　Demonstrates a strong sense of business-oriented product development, capable of translating business requirements into corresponding technical problems and solutions.

　　Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, electronics, or related fields is preferred.

　　Possesses excellent teamwork, proactive thinking, self-driven work ethic, and a strong sense of responsibility.

　　Excellent English communication skills, capable of working in an English-speaking environment.

　　Prior experience in the advertising industry is a plus.

　　Experience in AWS or other cloud platform development is preferred.

　　Education:

　　Bachelor's Degree or above.

　　5 years or above.

　　National Pay Range: $119,945.02 USD-$281,121.14 USD
