Position Summary:
We are looking for an adventurous Director, Product Management to join the Pharma Analytics Business Segment leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a market leading company that is fast-paced, driven and passionate about making a difference!
The Director Product Management for PA will serve as the product champion, build the strategy, roadmap, launch products, and own all product management responsibilities for the growing portfolio of products. This role will have P&L responsibility and lead a complementary team of product managers, and therefore will be accountable for their performance and colleague development.
Roadmap and Strategy Planning
Develop long-range product strategies and guide fiscal planning for future positioning, growth, and evolution of key growth initiatives in Pharma Analytics. This includes identifying, establishing, and leading strategic teamworks with internal and external partners.
Partner closely with R&D to identify and mature opportunities for partnership and value creation across innovation and growth initiatives
Evaluate and craft financially sound business proposals for new products and partnerships that will serve to expand portfolio revenue
Lead business annual strategic plan development including STRAP (5 Year Strategy), strategy deployment and AOP (Annual Operating Plan)
Product Lifecycle management and Go-To-Market planning
Lead the Pharma Analytics products with P&L responsibility, including meeting or exceeding revenue and gross margin targets, handle all aspects of business including strategy, product life cycle, innovation, etc.
Drives demand through impactful sales and marketing campaigns.
Functions as the business unit owner/ ambassador across the organization
Provide data related to competitors, the market, product and capability positioning, revenue and unit or capacity forecasting working with planning functions, identifying key business priorities, and pricing strategies
Be a key opinion leader (KOL) for their portfolio, represent Thermo Fisher Scientific externally at conferences and tradeshows, able to effectively communicate product strategy and tactics to the market.
Drive the team to incorporate the Voice of the Customer (VOC) & market insights to support successful development of new products.
People Leadership
Lead and develop a high-performance team.
Ensure successors are identified for critical roles.
Drive action planning and initiatives across the team incorporating Employee Involvement Survey or other feedback.

Preferred background/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or business required, MBA or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
Bioproduction or Life Sciences shown experience preferred.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organization
Strong leadership, project management and planning skills, and comfortable making decisions in ambiguous scenarios and adopting change.
Experience working with directly with customers, commercial teams and diverse sales channels strongly preferred.
Travel: approximately 30+% globally

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $192,100.00–$224,100.00.
