  Lead IT Application Analyst

  HomeSafe Alliance is the single global household goods movement manager for USTRANSCOM and the U.S. Armed Forces, Department of Defense civilians, U.S. Coast Guard, and their families. HomeSafe will have a 24/7 global contact center, to support over 320,000 moves globally every year.

  We are looking for a Software Application Analyst/Developer to join our growing team!

  This role will be a critical and collaborative resource for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining products that are deployed on-prem, in the cloud, and at customer edge locations.

  Our ideal candidate will be energized by our fast-paced startup environment, demonstrate sound software engineering principles, and excellent analysis skills in reviewing fundamental Java usage.

  Responsibilities :

  Experience in software development to manage projects through the entire development life cycle.

  Proficiency in managing vendor(s) on software delivery.

  Lead various Agile scrum teams to analyze, design, implement, and test custom built applications.

  Create and drive the detailed planning and schedule activities for development projects.

  Manage the integration of our custom applications with numerous business systems such as Costpoint, Workday, SharePoint, among many others.

  Ensure the team’s compliance with relevant development and functional processes.

  Serve as scrum master for many teams to coordinate daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.

  Knowledge working with public and Gov cloud services in Azure and AWS.

  Perform code reviews and verify implementation of system and software requirements.

  Review and analyze existing code base to decipher business logic and add new functionality as needed.

  Accountable for software changes being thoroughly tested, accepted, and that hot fixes (changes made during testing) do not adversely affect systems and software performance.

  Participate in the maintenance of Security Standards ensuring standards; strike an appropriate balance between security and functionality of our products.

  Contribute to the ongoing learning and success of the team, and the company, by sharing knowledge through mentorship, collaboration, and aiding in the documentation.

  Collaborate in a team environment and provide support to help the team stay on track with estimates and schedules.

  Perform other duties as assigned.

  Required Qualifications :

  Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

  5+ years of hands-on software development experience using open standards for software frameworks and complex IT technologies.

  Government contracting experience a must.

  Highly experienced with Go, Node.js, AWS, or REACT.

  Experience with some or all the following technologies: Java, Python3.

  Experience with Web APIs (client & server), SQL/NO-SQL databases, and cloud architecture.

  Understanding of modern application architectures - three tier, distributed, centralized, microservices, etc. with experience in RESTful APIs.

  Skilled at writing scripts (bash, python, Perl, PowerShell) to automate tasks and troubleshoot bugs.

  Comfortable with Jira for project management, documentation, wikis, etc.

  Strong written and oral communication skills.

  Fraud Alert

  Fraud has infiltrated the job placement market via the internet, email and direct phone contact. Attempts have included unauthorized use of HomeSafe’s name and logo to solicit potential job seekers or to extend false job offers. Bad actors may mix in fake job advertisements with legitimate postings. These ads can include contact instructions and require job seekers to send sensitive personal information or money to pay for visa applications, processing fees, etc., in exchange for consideration for a high-paying position.
