The Opportunity
Regional Service Framework is Manulife Asia advanced application implementation blue-print that is used across DevSecOps, AKS platform and microservices design & development. As lead engineer for RSF, you will be expected to have great engineering skills, strong communications & inter-personal skills and able to motivate members of team to work as One.
Working with Regional and Global partners in Manulife, you will be responsible to provide technical leadership to Regional Service Framework (RSF) suite of products and solutions. With a team of highly skilled engineers, you will ensure management of existing products, innovate and solve for upcoming emerging solution in domain and partner with various other IT departments to solve issue.

What we are looking for:
Expert knowledge in Spring Technologies (Spring Boot, Spring Core); multi-cloud programming (Azure, AWS, AliCloud); REST/SOAP ( data connectivity layers using JPA/JTA (Hibernate/Bitronix)); object oriented programming language and design patterns
Solid working experience with in-memory database technologies (e.g. Gemfire, Hazelcast etc...) and with middle-ware technologies (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka, MQSeries)
Strong understanding of web technologies like JavaScript, NodeJS, AngularJS / API-driven development and principles of API using product REST, gRPC
Prioritizes efficient code production by using open-source frameworks and patterns
Able to combine knowledge of discipline and the market, some perspective on customer requirements
Collaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methods
Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes effectively
Experiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next.
Ability to work in multi-region, multi-cultural environment in cohesive manner
On the job you will:
Provide technical leadership to existing onshore/offshore for RSF Application & Test Frameworks, RSF applications
Interface with Manulife architect, cloud engineers, risk managers and delivery teams for delivery management
Design and implement solutions to support new Manulife initiatives in line with application & test frameworks
Provide L3 support activities as per production support roster
Ensure RSF products & solutions software remains in-currency, follow security & risk guidelines
Work and partner with ETS community for delivering best in-class solution
