Position Summary
Responsibilities:
LeadershipDrive the evolution of technology service delivery capabilities, keeping pace with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align technology service delivery with business needs and priorities. Maintain regular and transparent communication with clients, stakeholders, and project managers/sponsors. Provide timely updates to clients on production environment health, upcoming changes, and potential impacts on project pipeline timelines or scope. Effectively mediate conflicts and disagreements among technology team members and/or stakeholders.Lead a team of dedicated professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity, knowledge sharing, and professional growth. OperationsEnsure the availability, performance, and security of Linux/Unix server infrastructure, including physical and private cloud environments.Manage the physical Linux/Unix server infrastructure, including data centers, hardware, and network connectivity, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.Manage and maintain private cloud environments within the Linux/Unix ecosystem, ensuring scalability, availability, and efficient resource allocation.Work with onshore/offshore L1/L2 resources.Maintain incident response and recovery procedures set by the Command Center to minimize downtime and service disruptions.Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and technology partners to ensure seamless operations and value for CVS Health.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the effective operation of the Linux/Unix server infrastructure. Cultivate strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and understanding their technology needs and expectations. Develop and manage the budget for Linux/Unix Server Infrastructure Operations, ensuring cost-effective and efficient resource utilization.Optimize costs while ensuring the highest level of service quality.Oversee maintenance of comprehensive documentation of the server infrastructure, incidents, changes, and performance, and provide regular reports to senior management.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of server configurations, procedures, and policies.Utilize metrics and data from software tools and scripts that automate the management, maintenance, and monitoring of servers and applications Regulate the creation of documentation management standards, procedures, training, and systems implementation. Audit / ComplianceEnsure Linux/Unix server environments meet security, compliance, and regulation standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).Lead efforts to remediate any vulnerabilities or non-compliance issues according to SecOps and Command Center guidancePerformance Management and Capacity PlanningImplement monitoring tools and processes to proactively identify and address performance issues, optimizing server infrastructure efficiency.Assess and plan for the capacity needs of the infrastructure to support business growth.Plan for future infrastructure needs, working with cross-functional teams to anticipate growth and scaling requirements.Required Qualifications8+ years of relevant experience in Linux/Unix server infrastructure operations.5+ years of leadership and management experience.Strong understanding of Linux/Unix server environments, virtualization, and cloud technologies.Experience with private cloud platforms (e.g., VMware, OpenStack).Excellent problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat, CompTIA Linux+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.Preferred Qualifications

The typical pay range for this role is:
$140,000.00 - $280,000.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
