Job Description
Sources mechatronics / electronics / traction motor purchased components on time, under defined procurement budget, and with adherence to AAM procurement policy and procedures.
Quotes and negotiates all program / design related changes within predefined timing.
Works with cross-functional team to identify and develop new suppliers as needed.
Coordinates and supports technical reviews with cross-functional internal team and approved supply base.
Enters purchase requisitions, issues blanket purchase agreements, and makes updates to all purchase agreements as required.
Works with advanced procurement program team to provide required business case inputs in support of new customer RFQs / pursuits.
Works with internal procurement program and supplier quality teams to ensure that all suppliers meet program deliverables as defined by the program team.
Negotiates any non-standard commercial terms with all suppliers as required.
Supports continuity of supply issues as they arise for all AAM manufacturing facilities.
Supports the Global Category Management teams as needed, playing a key role in the cross-functional team in developing category and sourcing strategies and executing tender activities.
Performs cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.
Collaborates with key persons to ensure clear communication of the specifications and expectations of the company
