Summary You will serve as a Lead HR Specialist (Classification) in the Total Force Department, Corporate Operations Directorate of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. Salary Range: Port Hueneme, CA: $101,121.00 to $156,323.00 Newport, RI: $98,240.00 to $151,870.00 Responsibilities You will explain team goals and objectives to assigned team members and assist team in organizing to accomplish work. You will lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees, make adjustments according to priorities and ensure that each employee has a defined role in producing team accomplishments. You will apply qualitative and quantitative methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness of teamwork processes and products. You will provide information to the supervisor on performance of the team and individuals. You will provide advisory position classification and position management services. You will prepare and review position descriptions; coordinates desk audit requests; assist and/or conduct audits, if requested; write reports of findings; and prepare evaluations, as required. You will locate, interpret, analyze, and apply position classification standards and functional guides. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-5 through GS -11) or NT-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Administering a full range of position classification program responsibilities for the command (e.g. classification and organizational design, position management, and job restructuring services to command-wide staff, supporting all major business components); 2) Providing support, direction, guidance, coaching, and training to peers, junior staff, managers, and supervisors; 3) Developing and implementing plans to achieve classification program objectives and assess/improve work products, services and processes; and 4) Assessing the quality and effectiveness of the command's civilian Classification program and the impact on the productivity, efficiency and mission accomplishment. *NOTE: This experience must be clearly and fully supported in your resume to be considered.
