JOB SUMMARY Assist withthe production of parts made of assorted materials using laser cuttingmachines from blueprints. ESSENTIAL DUTIES To perform this jobsuccessfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily. The requirements and qualifications listed below arerepresentative of the essential duties, knowledge, skills and/orabilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enableindividuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. Determineproper arrangement of orders according to production schedules and workorders. Read, interpret, and understand work orders, drawings, andproduction schedules to determine specifications, such as material to beused, dimensions, and tolerances. Review all nests for sheet utilizationand accuracy prior to running machine. Verify parts are set to thecorrect revision level, downloading from the T drive as necessary.Ensure lasers are loaded with correct material. Set up CNC programsaccording to work order specifications. Perform CNC programmingoperations. Verify orders are accurately and efficiently produced by themachines. Unload laser and check for quality of all parts produced.Coordinate distribution of finished work orders to subsequentdepartments. Complete order request forms for needed inventory. Reportlevels of in-stock materials weekly. Identify needed maintenance ofmachines and ensure that parts and lasers are ordered and replaced.Complete daily and monthly crane inspections and complete checklists forverification. Performs card shots, tape shots, etc. to trouble shootperformance issues. Follow good housekeeping practices. Identify andresolve basic quality issues. Follow all safety precautions and useprotective equipment as required. Identify and immediately correct anysafety hazards in work area.
