  Summary This position is located at Pointes West Army Resort in Appling, GA. This location is not located on Fort Eishenhower. Responsibilities Performs general maintenance of NAF facilities requiring use of heavy powered equipment and heavy tools. General instructions are provided with assignments, advises facility director of potential safety hazards and identifies repairs required. Completed work is reviewed for timeliness, work practices, and compliance with instructions. Incumbent is responsible for following safety practices, obtaining assistance, and performing maintenance on equipment. Perform heavy physical labor requiring the frequent lifting and carrying of items and furniture weighing 80 to 100 pounds or more. Operate heavy powered equipment performing tasks that require prior work experience and training. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Applicant must have six months of experience as described under Duties. 2. Must be able to work under general supervision, responding to initial oral or written instructions and completing assigned tasks. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
