　　Department Details

　　Opportunity to perform all aspects of moderate and high complexity testing in the Mass Spectrometry section of the laboratory. Will assist in the validation of LC-MS/MS methods including but not limited to the specialties of toxicology and endocrinology. Educational opportunities for professional growth, which may include attending virtual or in-person scientific seminars or conferences. Will also have the opportunity to participate in the presentation/publication of scientific works at the regional or national level.

　　Job Summary

　　Provide technical and other supporting assistance in the laboratories as assigned. The Laboratory Technologist will work in but not limited to Cytogenetics, Genetics or Infectious Disease (ID):

　　Clinical laboratory to perform clinical laboratory testing, including manual and automated methods, in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures. Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing. Ensures all medical laboratory safety standards and quality requirements are met. Serves as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel. Must utilize critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.

　　Performs other related duties as assigned.

　　Qualifications

　　Bachelor’s degree in biology or other related field that includes 30 combined semester hours of biological science and chemistry required.

　　Demonstrated lab experience, including but not limited to college laboratory experience preferred
