Job Description:
The successful candidate is goal oriented and enjoys multi-tasking in a fast paced environment, will use well established tissue culture protocols for grasses
Examples of specific tasks: initiating, subculture and monitoring plant tissue cultures under aseptic conditions, preparation of culture media, selection and regeneration of transgenic or gene edited plantlets from tissue cultures, transfer of tissue culture derived plants to soil, using and monitoring laboratory instrumentation, collecting and handling samples from greenhouse grown plants, extensive documentation, project review, quality control, report preparation.
Expected Salary:
$13 - $15 hourly (40 hours per week) commensurate with relevant experience and education.
Minimum Requirements:
Previous experience with laboratory work. Exceptional performance skills such as self-motivation, attention to detail, honesty, dependability and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in plant science or related discipline. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply and will be trained in the specific protocols.
